Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Aaron Marks knew from a young age that he had a passion for the truth. Born to a professional photographer and a school teacher, Aaron's parents encouraged him to do what he could to be of service to others.
As a child, Aaron P. Marks experienced his first taste of the law making a difference in others' lives when his father was involved in a tragic plane accident. While taking off from an airport, a plane that Mr. Marks was a passenger in struck a passenger van that was on the runway, crashing during takeoff. Aaron's father thankfully survived, and Aaron had a front-row seat to the resulting months of court cases and trial dates, which exposed a lying pilot and plane owner who were illegally flying an aircraft that was not in compliance with FAA rules and regulations. These experiences helped morph Aaron's love of the truth and love of helping others into a passion for the law and justice.
Between playing Varsity soccer and attending high school, teenage Aaron was eager to begin helping others. Aaron spent all of his free time volunteering at a children's camp for city children from Phoenix, to help them get out of the city. After graduating from Sandra Preparatory School in 1996, Aaron attended Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. Hungry to learn more about the ethics of truth and law, Aaron spent the next four years studying Philosophy, including a year abroad at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Aaron graduated with Honors in May of 2000, with a bachelor's degree in philosophy.
Aaron then attended Law School at Georgia State University. It was here that Aaron developed a love for Georgia and the South, eventually deciding to make Georgia his permanent home. After graduation in 2007, Aaron spent two years gaining experience at King & Spalding in Atlanta, Georgia, an internationally accredited law firm, before branching out on his own and founding Marks Law Group in 2009.
Aaron's true love and passion for truth and justice have a proven success rate. In his first high-profile case, Aaron took on a high-risk case against a major retail chain, one that had previously been turned down by larger firms, and used his love of the truth to expose a witness for the defense as a liar on the stand, proving that this witness had lied and would continue to lie for their employer, the defense. This breakthrough in the case led to an end of the long 2.5-year affair for the client, the case ending in a sizable win for Aaron's client after just a single day of mediation. This case was simply the first in a long list of successful cases, generous settlements, and happy clients.
Aaron is the author of numerous articles and legal guides in the areas of non-emergency medical transport accidents, Georgia trucking accidents, and Georgia biking accidents, written based on his daily experience as a personal injury attorney trying cases in Decatur's Court System. When Aaron has free time in between client meetings and court hearings, he continues to follow his passion for helping others. An active community volunteer, Aaron has served on the Board of Directors for the Oakhurst Community Gardens, the Nutrition Committee for the College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center, and as a driving instructor with Georgia Teens Ride with P.R.I.D.E. (Parents Reducing Injuries and Driver Error). Aaron currently serves on the Board of Directors at Day League, an organization that provides services, prevention, education, and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault. Aaron is also active in the Decatur School System as well and is currently the President of the Renfroe Middle School Parent Teacher Association.
Aaron is currently rated 10 out of 10 on Avvo, an online legal directory, for his extensive experience in non-emergency medical transport accidents, Georgia trucking accidents, and Georgia biking accidents.
